Location & Directions  

The area is located within the city boundaries of Oberhausen. Oberhausen is situated in the western part of the Ruhr Area, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westfalia. With a size of 7,700 hectares and 220,000 inhabitants Oberhausen is one of the medium-sized cities of the Ruhr Area.

The site extends the Neue Mitte Oberhausen into the eastern direction. It is located between the federal motorway A 42 (the motorway junction is only 500 m away) and the Rhine-Herne- Canal in the south and borders the city of Essen, district Borbeck in the east. Furthermore the area is well connected to motorways A2, A3 and A516.

The site is excellently connected to the local and regional road network. The Osterfelder Straße, which partly consists of 6 lanes, is well suited to deal with the complete traffic in the Neue Mitte Oberhausen.

Alternatively the area can be reached by public transport system.

The inner development of the site is secured by an already build ring road.
